Training walks for Dudley's Dawdle - March 2010
Monday 01-03-10 Bus to Lymington and then to Hythe. This was a repeat of the walk in February - Hythe, Beaulieu, Lymington. Started at 12noon and arrived at Lymington Bus station at 5.40 - got home on last bus. As previously this walk by time must be about 16miles and not the 11 or so that I originally estimated.Walking with a catheter and bag is challenging but not impossible! Distance 16miles
Tuesday 02-03-10 Avon Beach, Steamer Point, Cliffhanger cafe and back to Avon Beach, and home via Stanpit Marsh. Distance 8.5miles
Wednesday 03-03-10 Tuckton Bridge, Wick Fields, accross sand dunes, and back to church then home. Distance 4.75miles
Thursday 04-03-10 Christchurch hospital and then back via Barrack Road and church.
Distance 4.5miles
Monday 08-03-10 Tuckton Bridge, Wick Fields, Mudeford Spit, the Run, Hengisbury Head, Wick Fields and home. Distance 10.5miles
Tuesday 09-03-10 Walk to Colin's house, Tuckton Bridge, Wick Fields, Boscombe, Bournemouth Pier, the square. Bus home. Distance 12 miles
Thursday 11-03-10 Christchurch hospital, 1a bus to Bournemouth. Walked from the Square, to Pier, Boscombe, Hengisbury, Wick Fields and home. Distance 11miles
Monday 15-03-10 Tuckton Bridge, Wick Fields, the run, Hengisbury Head, Boscombe, Bournemouth, Sandbanks. Return home by bus. Distance 18miles
Tuesday 16-03-10 Bus to Lymington, 112 to Hythe. 12noon started walking - Beaulieu, arrived Lymington 5.15p.m. having walked non stop. Distance 16miles
Wednesday 17-03-10 Walked basck from Sewards home via Boathouse cafe. to church via B & Q. Back from church. Walked to Sewards to collect car. Walked to Twynham chapel and back in evening. Distance 7miles
Thursday 18-03-10 Walked to Lloyds, back around Stanpit Marsh. To Mudeford Quay then to Steamer Point to visit Howard. Walked hopme direct. Distance 5.5miles
Found out that operation would not be until end of April. Provisional date of April 27th. this is a lot longer than the original 4-6 weeks I was told by the doctor at the hospital.
Mileage for month was 113.75miles
