Itinerary of Dudley'd Dawdle - part 2

Part 2 of this walk is from Christchurch in Dorset to Sandbanks and then from Studland follows the South West Coast Path to Lands End [St Just]. it is necessary to plan a few days in Christchurch so that i can depart on the Friday and cross the tank ranges at Lulworth when they are open at a weekend. It also means that i can attend to some personal matters at the same time.

Due to the necdessity to cross the ranges on the Saturday I am unable to lan a rest day on Sunday so Monday will be a half day walking and then lunch with Jenny & friends.

Fortuneswell to Seatown

Wyke regis, Abbotsbury [taking the path inland of the East and West Fleet], West Bexington, West Bay, Seatown.

I will picked up by friends and stay night in Lyme regis.

Wednesday, September 22nd 15miles

I will be returned to Seatown by friends to continue the walk.

Seatown to Seaton

Charmouth, Lyme regis, Seaton

Collected from Seaton to stay in Lyme regis one more night.

Thursday, September 23rd 29miles

I may do more on the previous day to reduce the length of this days walk.

Seaton to Exmouth

Beeer, Branscombe, Sidmouth,

Budleigh, Exmouth

To be collected by friends and stay night in Exeter.

Friday, September 24th 26miles

Friends to return me to Starcross on west side of estuary to avoid time im crossing the estuary.

Exmouth to Torquay

Starcross, Dawlish Warren, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Mardencombe, Babbacombe, Torquay.

To be collected by friend to stay in Newton Abbott

Saturday, September 25th 15miles

To be returned to last nights arrival point by friend.

Torquay to Kingswear

To be collected by friend and stay rest of weekend in Newton Abbott.

Tuesday, September 28th 28miles

This is the most difficult section of the entire walk as it depends on good timing as there are two ferries and one river to ford!

Salcombe to Wembury

Bolt Head, Bolt Tail, Inner Hope, Outer Hope, Bantham for ferrty to cross R. Avon, 10.00-11.00 only. Bigbury on Sea, Challaborough, Wonwell R Erme - ford at low tide only, otherwise a 7 mile detour. Mathecombe, Noss Mayo [Newton Ferrers] - ferry Wembury.

Next two days journies are flexible as it is difficult to judge how much of todays route is possible in a day. No accomodation booked.
